Prizes:
First Prize: Invitation to read at the Beat Conference, $50.00 and opportunity to be published in Blue Moon Literary and Art Review.
Second Prize: Invitation to read at the Beat Conference and opportunity to be published in Blue Moon Literary and Art Review.
Third Prize: Invitation to read at the Beat Conference and opportunity to be published in Blue Moon Literary and Art Review.
Honorable Mention: Top poets will be invited to read at the Beat Conference, and possible opportunity to be published in Blue Moon Literary and Art Review.
Qualifications: You must attend the (free) conference on October 9th and 10th to give your reading and allow your work to be published.
Guidelines:
We are looking for poems that reflect upon or honor the spirit of "Beat", whatever that means to you. Typically, Beat-influenced poems are anti-authoritarian, rhapsodic, ecstatic, jazzy etc.
Send a maximum of three poems not to exceed 6 total pages.
Entries must be the original work of the contestant. Entries must be typed, and will not be returned.
