The John Natsoulas Gallery is hosting a free concert on Saturday, December 16th at 7:00 pm with musician Henry Robinett. Robinett is a renowned jazz guitarist who plays a variety of music. He also writes music and owns and operated two recording studios. He is a teacher and college professor at the University of the Pacific and Consumnes River College. He has also gained recognition for teaching inmates guitar at the Folsom Prison. Many people may know him form his band the Henry Robinett Group.
Robinett grew up surrounded by legendary musicians. His father was first cousin of the great jazz bassist Charles Mingus. He also had associations with saxophone great Sonny Rollins and rock legend Joni Mitchell.
He will be playing new music and old favorites in this one night show. Seating is limited so please arrive early.
