Mellon Music Festival
Chamber Music of the World Brought to Davis Featuring Esq. and Friends

The 2019 Season runs 3 days with 4 concerts: May 24-26, 2019, presenting music inspired by and dedicated to DANCE!
For its second season, Mellon Music Festival (MMF) artists will comprise:
• Returning artists: Katherine Arndt (violin), Eunghee Cho (cello), Chris Castro (double bass), Ieseul Kim (flute), Tatjana Roos (violin), Tomomi Sato (piano), and Joy Yanai (cello)
• Artists making their festival debut: Eva Aronian (violin), Jordan Bak (viola), Meredith Clark (harp), Luther Warren (viola), and Stephanie Zyzak (violin)
• Ensemble-in-residence: Eleonore String Quartet

Linda Bair Dance Company “What Do You See” an Evening of Dance at Discovery at The Gallery

Linda Bair Dance Company presents “What Do You See” an evening of dance at discovery at the gallery! Over 20 short dances and improvisational movement studies will be sprinkled through the gallery, followed by a short reception and a more dance on the ground floor. Viewers are
encouraged to video, photograph, or sketch what they find interests them and post it on #lbdsee.
Showing work alongside Linda Bair Dance Company, is a rich array of guest artists coming from coast to coast. Dance makers include:

Linda Bair is a seasoned performer, choreographer, and teacher living in Davis, Ca. She is dedicated to building community through dance She has a BFA in dance from UC Santa Barbara and has danced with Bonnie Simoa Dance Company, Christopher Watson Dance Company and marTa Tanz. Linda has been a guest artist with the Limon Dance Company. In
1998, she formed the Linda Bair Dance Company, now in residence at the Davis Arts Center. A frequent visiting lecturer at the University of California, Davis in the Department of Theatre and
Dance, Linda has also taught master classes at Miami DADE College, University of Miami, Lane College, Sacramento State University and at the University of West Indies as well as ongoing modern and ballet classes at the Davis Arts Center. Her choreography has been
presented throughout California, in Germany, the Caribbean and most recently Miami, Florida. Her work is concerned with what is best said with the body: an investigation of breath, bone,
muscle, and the stories hidden in our bodies, finding the person in the movement and the movement in the person.
