The John Natsoulas Center for the Arts has a long history of working with dog imagery. This summer, we will return to celebrate the canine companion by presenting the annual show Bark!: An Artistic View of Human’s Best Friend. One of the featured artist, Roy De Forest, has created various pieces that are full of life and joy. His playful depictions of dogs, often accompanied by their humans, are testaments of that special bond. He was one of the first artists in the 20th century to embrace this imagery, and others have wholeheartedly embraced the subject matter.
