Ayesha Samdani Exhibition
May 22 - June 29, 2019
Join us in celebrating the opening reception for artists Chris Liberti and Ayesha Samdani at the John Natsoulas Gallery June 7th from 7-9 p.m. This exhibition includes renowned painters interested in abstraction as well as expressionism throughout their works. Both artists have decorated backgrounds in painting and have been known for their distinct works that are representative of their craft.
Ayesha Samdani was born and raised in Pakistan. She has an MA degree in Fine Arts from Pakistan. She moved to the U.S. 16 years ago. Recently, Samdani received an MFA in painting from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She conveys abstract works by depicting organic forms, lines, colors, drips and brush strokes inspired by organic shapes found in nature. She achieves this by using oil paints to express her emotions with limited color palettes as well as translucent layers in her paintings. Her motivation is to create abstract paintings which convey vivid, soft and dynamic sensations. Currently she is living and painting as a full-time artist in Fremont.
Ayesha finds herself getting immersed in the beauty of nature’s colors. Such colors have a strong impact on her personality and paintings as they remind her of her cultural background. Her art is inspired by nature, therefore she sees her reflection in leaves, trees and branches that change modes and colors with the seasons. Ayesha uses a various limited color palette for each painting to depict different moods of nature. Through variations of lines, layers and color palette, she explores the sensitivity and delicacy of changing seasons. Some paintings reveal the beauty of spring and fall and some impression of summer and winter.
