Michelle Gregor

November 6 - 30, 2024

The John Natsoulas Gallery is proud to host the newest exhibition of Michelle Gregor’s elegant and enchanting sculptures and two-dimensional works. While known primarily for her ceramics, Gregor’s interest in fully utilizing the surface of her nuanced figures derives from her consistent practice in panting and drawing. By painting layer upon layer of water-based paints onto her sculptures, she achieves a meticulous liveliness and loveliness. Her colorful female forms take their names from history, mythology, and the natural world.

“Where the confluence of abstraction and figuration meet, relationships between figure and ground are explored. My intention is to articulate something of the precious resource that animates and surrounds us.”
